The beginning of the school year is being marked by problems of disorganization and lack of preparation, according to reports from education sector officials. The situation has affected the normal functioning of schools and created difficulties for students, teachers, and families.
Cristina Mota, representative of the movement Missão Escola Pública, is one of the voices that has been raising awareness about these issues. The activist points out that many of the problems experienced at the beginning of this year result from the restructuring that occurred in the Ministry of Education.
One of the most serious problems identified is the existence of students without placement in any school. This situation leaves children and young people without access to education at the start of the school year, raising concerns about the right to education.
The restructuring in the Ministry of Education is indicated as one of the main causes of these difficulties. The organizational changes are believed to have affected the response capacity of the educational authorities in adequately preparing for the beginning of the school year.
