Saudi Arabia promised today to respond with "firmness" after a new series of attacks by Yemeni Houthi rebels against its territory. Saudi authorities indicated they would respond decisively to these aggressions.
The Houthi rebels, supported by Iran, have carried out several attacks against Saudi territory. These attacks are part of a broader conflict that opposes the Houthis to the recognized government of Yemen, supported by a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
Iran denies any involvement in the conflict. However, Riyadh and its Western allies have repeatedly accused Tehran of providing military and financial support to the Houthi rebels.
This conflict is described as a new front in the broader war in the Middle East, which already includes the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as well as other confrontations in the region.
