The Sports, Cultural and Recreational Association of Paço dos Negros, from the municipality of Almeirim, achieved third place overall in the Trail CTR/Viver Santarém, a race that counts towards the Ribatejo Trail Circuit, held on Sunday, September 13. The team finished behind Trilho Perdido, winner of the collective classification and home team, and Alcanena Trail Team, in second place.
The race started at the Aquatic Complex of Santarém and went through various points of the city, bringing together more than 430 participants in distances of ten, 18 and 30 kilometres.
Beyond the third place overall, Paço dos Negros' team achieved six individual podiums. Rui Fernandes finished in eighth place in the overall classification of the 18 kilometres, also securing third position in the M40 age category. In the women's participation, Gina Oliveira achieved second place in the F60 category of the Long Trail, while Cristina Caniço was second classified in F55 in the Short Trail. Judite Silva also reached a podium, although the article does not mention her exact position.
