Rui Ferreira is the new manager of CD Feirense, replacing Mário Nunes who left the club from Santa Maria da Feira. The 53-year-old coach, from Espinho, returns to action after managing Felgueiras last season and returns to a club he already knows well, having held the managerial position between 2021 and 2023. The contract signed with the fogaceiros is valid until June 2027 and Ferreira will already coach the team this Tuesday, September 15th.
Feirense occupies the last place in Liga 2, with only one point earned, which dictated Mário Nunes' departure. This troubled start to the season led the club's board to seek a new technical command to try to reverse the situation.
In his new mission, Rui Ferreira will have Carlos Manuel by his side, also from Espinho, who will join the coaching staff. Carlos Manuel was captain of SC Espinho for several years and brings experience from regional football.
