Krisálida promotes a new season of KAAMinho (Krisálida Acolhe no Alto Minho) between September 27 and November 29, presenting four performances in Caminha and Vila Praia de Âncora. The programming is aimed at different generations, covering children, families, teenagers, young people, and adults, and addresses themes such as childhood, the environment, war, peace, fear, and life in society.
The season opens on September 27 with "The Children's Crusade," by the company a bruxa TEATRO, from Évora, based on a text by Afonso Cruz, with direction by Apollo Neiva. The performance places children at the center of a march that crosses maps, hospitals, banks, and places of power, questioning institutions and the rules of the adult world, with questions about children's rights, war, hunger, and the future.
On October 31, in Vila Praia de Âncora, "The Cookie Theory" takes to the stage, a co-production by teatromosca and Hipérion Projeto Teatral, with text by Daniele Aureli and direction by Mário Trigo. The play is aimed at teenagers and young people and begins with the illness of a woman in a town near a metropolis dominated by factories and incinerators, crossing human, environmental, and social issues.
On November 28, KAAMinho presents "Peace," by Leirena Teatro, from Leiria, based on the work by Aristophanes. The piece follows Trygeus, who climbs Olympus on a giant beetle to rescue the goddess Peace, questioning the absurdity of war and bellicism. The season closes the following day with "Buh! The Origin of Fears," by CARB, a family performance that explores the origins of fears through theater, shapes, images, and sound.
