Cáritas Portuguesa will hold the eighth National Training Week from September 15 to 18 in Évora, bringing together its national network at different levels of intervention — national, diocesan and parochial. The event has the theme "A synodal network that transforms" and runs until Thursday.
The program was designed to promote the training of participants through diverse training moments, enhancing the exchange of experiences, sharing of good practices and reflection on the current challenges of Cáritas' action. Over the four days, participants will attend a conference and choose three workshops from six available themes: Identity and Cáritas Mission, Migrations, Social Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Non-Formal Education and Compassionate Communication and Self-care.
The organization states that the goal is to strengthen the institution's capacity to respond in an increasingly innovative, collaborative and transformative way to society's needs. The program also includes various moments of fellowship and networking, considered fundamental to strengthening bonds between the different Cáritas and promoting collaboration and mutual learning.
Cáritas Portuguesa encourages all collaborators and volunteers from its national network to participate in this training, presented as an opportunity for learning and sharing to contribute to a Cáritas "increasingly strong, capable and transformative." Cáritas Portuguesa is the union of Diocesan Cáritas and a service of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference.
