The ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) participated in an in-person plenary session on Tuesday to analyze the Federal Police (PF) report that identified Alexandre de Moraes as an intermediary of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master. The report is part of an investigation that generated an internal crisis at the Court, placing the two ministers on opposite sides.
Tuesday's session dealt specifically with Moraes' situation, but the case involving André Mendonça already has a scheduled date to be analyzed: next day 23. Mendonça is the minister who ordered the preparation of the report on the banker's messages that gave rise to the crisis.
Moraes asked that the two cases be analyzed together on Tuesday, arguing that it would not be possible to discuss his situation without also examining Mendonça's conduct in requesting the PF report. The president of the STF, Edson Fachin, however, rejected the request and decided to keep the cases separate.
