Portela begins this week its musical preparation for Carnival 2027 with a studio meeting that brings together the sound car, led by interpreter Bruno Ribas, and the Tabajara do Samba rhythm section, commanded by Mestre Vitinho. The goal is to improve the rapport between the two sectors. Two other rehearsals will be held throughout the week as preparation for the official recording of the samba-enredo, scheduled for the 21st.
The first community meeting is scheduled for the 23rd. Until January 30th, the school will hold 25 rehearsals, three more than last season. The focus will be on singing and integration between the different sectors of the school.
The work begins in a year of broad changes in the main parade commands. The artistic area, Carnival direction, harmony, sound car, and front commission enter 2027 with new names. Other segments and departments are also undergoing changes.
