Learn the role of Bruno Mazzeo in a Globoplay series based on Nelson Rodrigues' work

oglobo15 September 2026 at 07:00

Bruno Mazzeo will play Bordalo in the series "Paraíso perdido," available on Globoplay. The plot was created by George Moura and Sergio Goldenberg and is based on four works by Nelson Rodrigues: "Bonitinha, mas ordinária," "A mulher sem pecado," "Toda nudez será castigada," and "Os sete gatinhos." The series will have 40 episodes.

Bordalo is described as the leader of a club for men only, a place frequented by Olegário, a character played by Enrique Diaz. Olegário is married to Ritinha, played by Larissa Bocchino.

Edgar, portrayed by Juan Paiva, is one of the protagonists of the story and is in love with Ritinha. However, he will become involved with Maria Cecilia, portrayed by Alanis Guillen, daughter of Werneck (Alexandre Nero) and Lígia (Maeve Jinkings), and sister of Heitor (Juliano Floss).

Maria Cecilia is having an affair with her brother-in-law Peixoto, portrayed by Eduardo Sterblitch. With the exception of Olegário, all these characters were taken from Nelson Rodrigues' work "Bonitinha, mas ordinária."

Why this matters

The Brazilian public, especially soap opera viewers and fans of Nelson Rodrigues, will have access to a new adaptation of his works on Globoplay's streaming, bringing together characters from four different plays in a single narrative. The presence of Bruno Mazzeo and other well-known actors can attract both admirers of Brazilian theater and new viewers to the platform.
