The Azores Agricultural Federation revealed today that farmers in the region will have access to the support of 10 cents per liter for agricultural diesel announced by the Republic's government. In a statement, the federation representing Azorean farmers confirmed that this national support measure will be applied to the Azores.
However, the FAA warned that the announced amount of 10 cents per liter is insufficient to meet the needs of Azorean farmers. The federation considers that this amount does not adequately address the difficulties that producers in the region face.
The warning from the Azores Agricultural Federation comes at a time when agricultural production costs continue to rise, making it more difficult for farmers in the island region to carry out their activities.
