Rafael "Miniman" Pereira conquered the LFA world bantamweight title by knocking out Vinicius Pires in the fight for the vacant title in the up to 61 kg division. The Brazilian from Minas Gerais, athlete from CMSystem, extended his winning streak to 11 consecutive victories and now has 16 wins in 20 professional fights.
The fight remained competitive throughout the first round and into the beginning of the second frame. It was in the second round that Miniman found the decisive blow, landing a right hand on Pires, taking the Pauliste down and causing the stoppage of the fight.
After the victory, Miniman asked for an opportunity in the UFC or Contender Series, the program that selects athletes for the world's premier MMA organization. The Brazilian from Minas Gerais stated that he already knew the title was his and that he just needed to do what was necessary, respecting his opponent.
