The Standing Committee and the Conference of Representatives of the Parties of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira met today to prepare the start of the II Legislative Session of the XV Legislature. The meeting served to coordinate the return of plenary work after the recess period.
At the Standing Committee meeting, it was confirmed that plenary work will resume on September 22. This date was agreed upon by the parties represented in the assembly.
The agreement between the parties contrasts with what is provided for in the Political-Administrative Statute and the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Assembly, which establish that plenary sessions take place between October 1 and July 31.
