The semifinal round of basketball at the 44th edition of the Intercolegial O GLOBO/Sesc took place last Saturday (12), at Sesc Nova Iguaçu. Throughout eight scheduled games, teams from different categories competed for spots in the finals, which will be held next Saturday (19), at Sesc São João de Meriti.
The matchups presented two distinct scenarios: while some games were decided point by point, in the final minutes, others ended with large victories for one of the teams, showing the different paths teams found to reach the final.
One of the semifinals, however, was not played. A team withdrew moments before the match, resulting in a w.o. victory by default for the opponent.
The Intercolegial is organized by GLOBO, with sponsorship from Sesc-RJ and support from Afya.
