The government is preparing new support for the sectors that are being affected by the rising fuel prices. This measure comes in response to the difficulties faced by various economic activities in the face of the constant increase in fuel prices.
Regarding a possible reduction of VAT on fuels, Minister Maria da Graça Carvalho did not take a definitive position on the matter. Instead, she deferred the decision on this issue to the prime minister, indicating that the responsibility for defining this fiscal policy belongs to the head of government.
