Brasas and Maracanã established a partnership focused on qualifying the professionals who work at the stadium in English. The initiative aims to prepare the team at the country's main sporting venue for an increasingly international agenda, which includes the NFL and the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Peter O'Donnell, CEO of Brasas, stated that major sporting events bring Brazilian professionals into direct contact with people from different countries and cultures, and that being prepared to communicate in English is an important differentiator.
The partnership provides for scholarships for Maracanã collaborators, allowing the team access to English teaching. The goal is to contribute to professionals being better prepared for interactions with teams, delegations, and international representatives involved in organizing the major events.
