Jerónimo Martins, the Portuguese company owner of Pingo Doce, was fined 120 million euros in Poland. The sanction was applied due to the company's operations in Polish territory.
The Polish regulatory authority decided to impose this heavy fine on Jerónimo Martins, one of the largest food distribution companies in Portugal.
The company has already expressed its intention to appeal the decision, promising to fight this sanction through available legal means.
The fine represents a significant amount for the Portuguese group, which may face considerable financial consequences if the decision is upheld after the appeal.
