The Regional Government of Madeira has expressed interest in acquiring a property belonging to artist Lourdes Castro. Miguel Albuquerque, leader of the Madeiran executive, stated that, should the purchase prove viable, the Government will proceed with the acquisition of the property.
Albuquerque noted that negotiations have been maintained with the artist's family in a reasonable manner. The president of the Regional Government insisted that the conversations have proceeded calmly and with moderation, without apparent conflicts.
The purchase intention arises in the context of a possible public interest in preserving or enhancing an asset associated with Lourdes Castro, a relevant figure in Madeiran culture. The regional executive thus demonstrates willingness to complete the transaction, depending on economic viability and the conditions to be agreed with the heirs.
