The EDP group was the main responsible for the losses on the Portuguese market, leading the declines among national companies.
The renewable energy company EDPR (EDP Renováveis) recorded one of the biggest drops, sinking almost 6% during the trading session.
Concerns related to the impact of artificial intelligence and the worsening of the crisis in the Middle East were the main factors that penalized the European indices, dragging the Portuguese market along with them.
