The Socialist Party considered the responses sent by Minister Fernando Alexandre on the matter of national exams insufficient. The analysis of the responses from the government official to the questions sent by the PS parliamentary group did not convince the social democrats.
PS member Porfírio Silva declared to Diário de Notícias that the party was not convinced that the minister had demonstrated willingness to provide explanations and data on the issue.
Given this position, PS continues not to rule out the possibility of moving forward with a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on national exams, maintaining pressure on the executive.
The situation arises in the context of a tug-of-war between PS and the Ministry of Education regarding transparency and information provided about the organization of national exams.
