Senator and presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) asked Minister Flavio Dino, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), for the complete lifting of secrecy on the case files dealing with the financing of the film "Dark Horse," which tells the story of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The senator's defense filed a motion on Monday requesting that all investigative material proceed without secrecy.
In the petition, the lawyers argue that the partial disclosure determined by Dino produces an "incomplete photograph" of the investigation and may fuel selective accounts about the case. According to the defense, the current measure does not cover all documents related to the inquiry.
Dino had determined last Sunday that all material received from the São Paulo Court in connection with Petition 16,669 proceed with public access. However, the defense states that this determination covered only part of the entire investigation.
The lawyers now request that the same public access treatment be extended to Petition 16,070, which gave rise to the case, and to the portion of Petition 16,669 that did not come from the São Paulo court. With this, they seek to ensure that all documentation regarding the financing of the film "Dark Horse" is accessible to the public.
