The party Pessoas - Animais - Natureza (PAN) will launch next Thursday, September 17, the initiative "Climate Route" in Madeira. This initiative aims to promote debate on climate change and territorial responses to extreme phenomena.
The first meeting of the Climate Route will bring together representatives from academia, politicians and members of civil society. The focus of the discussion will be to understand how island territories can transform global climate challenges into concrete responses at the local scale.
This is the first of several initiatives planned within the scope of the Climate Route, which aims to be a cycle of reflection and debate on environmental issues. The choice of Madeira as the starting location is due to its condition as an island territory, particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
