Pedro de Matos Gonçalves, Student Ombudsperson of the University of Leiria and Oeste (ULO), is the new president of the Portuguese Network of Student Ombudspersons of Higher Education.
The inauguration took place recently, marking the beginning of a new term at the head of the organization that brings together student ombudspersons from Portuguese higher education institutions.
Pedro de Matos Gonçalves now combines the role of Student Ombudsperson of ULO with the leadership of the Portuguese Network, which aims to promote cooperation among different ombudspersons and defend the rights of higher education students in Portugal.
The choice of an ombudsperson from a central region institution to lead the network demonstrates the commitment to representing the regional diversity of Portuguese higher education institutions.
