In a post on the social network Truth Social, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, stated there is a "sick conspiracy underway against AI and Data Centers," adding that "the only one happy about this is China." Trump declared that the only control artificial intelligences need is a "strong and intelligent president (with a high IQ)," stating that the US "has plenty of that," in reference to himself.
The president stated that the "Trump government has prevented 'AI people' from doing bad things, or potentially bad things," specifically citing Dario, an executive at Anthropic, who according to Trump "now pretends to be a 'perfect little angel'." He added that they will continue to exercise this control and that they already have "enormous CRIMINAL and REGULATORY power" over these companies.
Trump also declared that the US is ahead of China and all other countries in the race for artificial intelligence and that they will continue on this path. He ended the post with a warning: "Conspiracy theorists, traitors, traitors and information leakers, BE CAREFUL!"
