Prainha da Glória, which has attracted bathers and even marine fauna again after the improvement in water conditions, will receive a cleanup drive next Friday (18). The action is part of the mobilization for World Cleanup Day, celebrated on September 20.
The cleanup drive will bring together volunteers from three organizations: Águas do Rio, Regenera Rio, and the Velejando para o Futuro project. These entities will be responsible for organizing and carrying out the beach cleanup.
Prainha da Glória has been recovering its popularity among visitors, benefiting from both the presence of bathers and the return of marine fauna to the area, thanks to the improved water conditions.
