The wines produced in Cabeção can now use the designation "Talha Wine" on their labels, after obtaining a certification that represents a historic achievement for the region. This designation allows local producers to formally identify their wines as produced according to the traditional talha method.
The certification is considered an important milestone for the preservation of a centuries-old tradition rooted in the identity of the Village of Cabeção. The production method in clay amphorae is an ancient practice that has been maintained across generations in this community.
Local producers now experience the harvest season with renewed satisfaction, as a direct result of this achievement. The possibility of using the official denomination on labels gives greater recognition and value to local products.
