The Regional Government reactivated the 'Home Support Caregivers' project, which now has an addition of 24 new operational assistants. This initiative aims to strengthen the care provided to people who need monitoring in the comfort of their homes.
The welcome session for the new professionals took place at the facilities of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, marking the formal start of this new phase of the program.
The caregivers will carry out their work in the field on a schedule between 8am and 4pm, guaranteeing daily support to the users covered by the project.
The intervention model is based on combining the direct action of the caregiver with continuous monitoring by the social worker, thus ensuring an integrated and more complete response to the needs of the beneficiaries.
