A team composed of students from Escola Básica 2/3 do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos will represent the Autonomous Region of Madeira at the national final of the 12th edition of Apps for Good. The event is scheduled for September 18 and will take place at Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon.
Apps for Good is a technology educational program promoted by CDI Portugal, which aims to encourage young people to develop technological solutions to real problems. The program arrived in Madeira through a regional meeting that brought together five projects developed by students from three schools in the region this year.
The team from Câmara de Lobos managed to secure qualification for the national final during the Regional Meeting of Madeira of Apps for Good. This victory allows them to compete with the best teams in the country in this competition which is now in its 12th edition.
