Quaest releases this Monday (14), at 10:15 AM, the first poll on the presidential race after the lifting of secrecy of the Master case at the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The institute went into the field for fieldwork between Friday and Sunday. The survey was commissioned by Grupo Globo.
The poll was registered with the Electoral Court under code BR-03607/2026. The margin of error is two percentage points, and the confidence level is 95%.
The survey measures the latest fallout from the crisis at the STF, which opposed ministers Alexandre de Moraes and André Mendonça, the rapporteur of the Master case. The crisis involves the "Hard Drive of the Master Case," which contains four thousand files, including messages exchanged with Moraes and references to the so-called "Vorcaro Gang."
The lifting of secrecy of the investigation material was requested by the Court president, Minister Edson Fachin, and came in the context of tensions at the court. The article also mentions that Lula's campaign expanded its attacks against Bolsonaro candidate Flávio Bolsonaro, but identifies a limited effect from the strategy called "Dark Horse."
