The Attorney General's Office argued on Monday (14) for the lifting of secrecy of a new proceeding in the Supreme Federal Court related to the Banco Master case. The petition contains information about Daniel Vorcaro's payment network and Banco Master itself, and the document has not yet had its secrecy lifted by Minister André Mendonça.
On the previous Sunday (13), Minister Alexandre de Moraes had requested the end of secrecy of this process, arguing that it contains relevant information for the trial scheduled for this Tuesday (15). Moraes' action is what motivated Fachin to request an opinion from the PGR on the matter.
The PGR issued its opinion this morning supporting the lifting of secrecy in this investigation as well. According to the opinion, since this is a document considered relevant for a Court minister to understand the full scope of factors involved in the matter being debated, the Attorney General's Office believes the secrecy of PET 15645 should be removed for all members of the Court to review.
