The Attorney General's Office (PGR) agreed with a request from Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (STF), and asked the president of the Court, Edson Fachin, to lift the secrecy on another investigation related to the Master case. The PGR requested that the secrecy be lifted on PET 15645, a petition that was under judicial seal.
The Vice Attorney General of Brazil, Hindenburgo Chateaubriand Filho, explained that the PGR was unable to view the petition in the STF system because it was not accessible to the agency. According to him, the PGR did not have access to the existence of the document, which did not appear visible in the Court's system.
The Vice Attorney General justified the request by arguing that the document is relevant for the minister of the court to be able to understand the totality of the factors that the matter involves. The PGR defended the measure in coherence with the premises of a previous opinion on the case.
