Stephan Sturm resigned as chairman of Hugo Boss after Frasers Group acquired 47% of the company. The change comes in the context of Mike Ashley's group entering the capital of the German fashion company.
Stephan Sturm had joined Hugo Boss's supervisory board in May 2025. After joining, he was subsequently elected to the position of chairman of the company.
Sturm's departure represents one of the first consequences of Frasers Group's strong shareholder presence in Hugo Boss. The British group, controlled by businessman Mike Ashley, now holds a significant stake in the German company.
