Exotic birds fly high at international exhibition

The international exotic bird exhibition "Internacional Sado – 12th COM Championship of Exotics" took place over three days, on September 6, 7 and 9, with the support of Setúbal City Council. The event featured specimens from over a hundred national and international breeders.

Among the highlighted species were the Gouldian Finch, the Zebra Finch, the Star Finch, the Society Finch and the Venezuelan Cardinal, with a competition held that awarded the best specimens in these categories. The public could access detailed information about the judging through QR codes provided.

Awards were also given to the champions of the different sections, with one bird receiving the special title of Best in Show as the best bird on display. The organization was handled by Internacional Sado, which distinguished the best participating breeders at the event.

The event had the support of São Sebastião Parish Council, the Union of Parishes of Setúbal, the Gouldian Finch Club of Portugal, the Portuguese Zebra Finch Club and the Portuguese National Ornithological Federation.
