The hot weather continues to mark this Monday in mainland Portugal, with 15 districts under yellow warning from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA). Thermometers should reach 38 degrees in various regions of the country.
The yellow warning, the second lowest in a three-level scale, remains in effect due to the persistence of high temperatures. Much of the mainland is affected by this heat wave.
In the Madeira region, the heat alert extends until Tuesday, also covering the archipelago in the adverse weather conditions. IPMA continues to monitor the situation in the various regions of the country.
