Jessica Julmy is the new General Director of Tempos Vega Sicilia, one of the most legendary and prestigious wine producers in the world, having held the position for one year. She came from a very different background from the Spanish wine universe, having previously worked at Champagne Krug, at Château Galoupet in Provence (France) and in the sales area of Moët Hennessy in the United Kingdom. During her visit to Rio de Janeiro to present the brand's labels, she explained that her first months at the family company were dedicated to "listening and observing a lot".
The executive constantly emphasizes the importance of time in her work and in the group's projects. According to her, there is a deep understanding of the value of time for wine quality, both in waiting for new vineyards to mature and in the aging of wines in barrels. "Great wines need time," Julmy states.
The Tempos Vega Sicilia group has six wineries, the most recent being Deiva, located in Rías Baixas, in Galicia. This winery will have its first vintage of a Spanish white wine from the group available on the market only in 2027, demonstrating the long-term approach with which the company works.
The group is known for producing wines considered legendary, such as Vega Sicilia Único, as well as other very famous labels. The Spanish company maintains its reputation for excellence in the world wine scene, combining tradition and patience in the production of its products.
