Lispolis – Lisbon Technology Hub announced the opening of applications for the 4th edition of Lispolis Ignite, its acceleration program dedicated to early-stage or growth-phase startups. The application deadline runs until October 2, and this edition brings a reinforced format entirely dedicated to the health tech sector, consolidating health as one of the most strategic axes for innovation in Portugal.
Since its creation in 2024, Lispolis has already accelerated a total of 44 startups, and for this new cycle focused on medical technology, it has the strategic support of the Portuguese Retina Institute. The program plans to select between 10 to 15 projects that present disruptive technological solutions applied to health, with emphasis on areas such as artificial intelligence, medical technologies, biotechnology, mental health, and active aging.
Selected participants will have access to six days of specialized training, in a hybrid format (in-person and online), which will take place between October 14 and 23. During this period, entrepreneurs will work side by side with mentors and reference specialists from the ecosystem.
The grand closing of the program is scheduled for October 29 with Demo Day, an event in which the finalist startups will make public presentations of their projects to investors, universities, leading companies, and other innovation entities. The four finalist projects will receive one year of free incubation at Lispolis, and the two grand winners will receive a financial prize of 2,000 euros each, sponsored by HealthTech Lisboa and CNS – Campus Neurológico.
