A shipwreck of a migrant boat occurred near the Greek island of Gavdos, in the Aegean Sea. The incident resulted in at least one dead person and 25 missing people.
Authorities reported that 51 people were rescued alive by two vessels that were in the vicinity at the time of the shipwreck.
According to data collected, the boat was carrying a total of 77 people, the majority of whom remain missing or were rescued.
The shipwreck occurred in a region frequently used by migrants in their attempts to cross the Aegean Sea to reach Europe.
