Digi arrived on the Portuguese telecommunications market, causing a significant increase in competition and reactions from established operators. This new entrant is pushing prices downward, with offers that include unlimited data, minutes and SMS for just 13 euros.
CNN Portugal, in partnership with DECO PROteste, is fortnightly tracking tariff fluctuations in the telecommunications sector. This initiative, called the CNN Portugal/DECO PROteste Barometer, aims to monitor changes in prices and offers available on the market.
The main operators affected by Digi's entry are Vodafone, NOS and MEO, which have been adjusting their commercial strategies in response to this new competition. The offers from these traditional operators are now being compared with the more competitive new tariffs.
September brought new promotions and price adjustments in the sector, with consumers benefiting from a more competitive market. The fortnightly barometer allows users to track the best available offers and identify the most advantageous options.
