The Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation carried out a study on the trajectory of more than 500 ministers who were part of Portuguese democracy governments. The analysis made it possible to trace an evolutionary profile of the holders of ministerial portfolios over the last decades.
The study concludes that governments in Portugal have been becoming increasingly older and more qualified. This trend reflects significant changes in the composition and profile of executive members over time.
The research was based exclusively on data relating to ministers who held government positions since the democratic period. The number of more than 500 governing officials analyzed allows for a comprehensive and statistically representative view of the evolution of the Portuguese executive.
The study was reported in this newspaper, appearing alongside other sports highlights of the day, such as Sporting's defeat in Famalicão.
