This Monday marks a new increase in the price of diesel, which advances to its fifth consecutive week above the two euros per liter threshold, establishing a new duration record at this price level.
Diesel fuel has been rising consistently, remaining above two euros per liter for five consecutive weeks, which represents a historic milestone in recent price trends.
A consumer with a salary aligned with the national average and monthly consumption of 60 liters of diesel now sees the fuel absorb 9.5% of their available net income.
This situation represents a significant worsening of the weight of fuel costs in the budget of Portuguese families, at a time when fuel prices continue to pressure the household economy.
