In the final hours of Rock in Rio 2026, Zé Ricardo, artistic vice-president of the festival, and Gus Canázio, artistic director, were carrying out assessments about the seven days of shows this year. The interview took place in a reserved room backstage at the Sunset Stage, at the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca, Southwest Zone of Rio.
Despite the little time for rest, the two have already started planning the next edition of the festival. The current assessment is that this edition was one of the best of all Rock in Rio editions, according to their statements at the beginning of the interview.
Zé Ricardo highlighted that the festival managed to establish a conversation with the audience about diversity, about different parts of Brazil, and about humanity in the construction of the line-up. He also mentioned the big names at the festival this year as part of this success.
The vice-president acknowledges that there was greater difficulty in assembling the line-up, although he states that this challenge is not for him. The interview was part of GLOBO's special coverage of Rock in Rio 2026, which included an interactive game to assemble the ideal line-up.
