Influencer Thaynan Farias, wife of forró singer Rey Vaqueiro, used social media to report that she lived "one of the worst days of her life" after learning that her husband's plane went off the runway and caught fire in the city of Parelhas, in Rio Grande do Norte. She stated that, for a few moments, fear took over me and she could only ask God and Nossa Senhora Aparecida to protect her husband and everyone at the scene.

The artist himself also posted a message on social media stating that he is doing well after the aircraft accident. However, Rey Vaqueiro had to cancel the two shows that were scheduled for this Sunday, one in the city of Custódia and another in Canhotinho, both in Pernambuco.

According to Thaynan Farias's account, she received the news of the accident and described the feeling as one of the worst she has ever experienced. She shared a photo alongside her husband without giving further details about the exact circumstances of the accident.

Despite the severity of the fire on the plane, there were no serious injuries in the incident. The case occurred in the city of Parelhas, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, and mobilized attention on social media due to the singer's visibility.

Why this matters

The aircraft accident of a popular singer in the Rio Grande do Norte region and the need to cancel shows in Pernambuco directly affects fans and event organizers in the Northeast, in addition to drawing attention to the safety of flights on smaller rural runways.
