Photographer Rui Silva, associated with ASPRESS, captured images at Prazeres showing the transport operation of the first of nine wind blades to Paul da Serra. The photographs reveal the scale and complexity involved in this task.
Paul da Serra is a location known for being one of the main wind energy production points in Madeira, which justifies the need to transport these large components to the region.
The transport operation of wind blades is traditionally complex due to the exceptional dimensions of these pieces, which can reach dozens of metres in length, requiring specially adapted routes and vehicles for their movement.
This is only the first of nine wind blades that will be transported to the site, indicating that the process will be repeated several times in the coming period to complete the intended installation.
