An unusual operation left its mark on several roads in the Calheta municipality this Sunday. The first of nine wind blades destined for the Paul da Serra wind farm began its transport in the early hours of the morning, covering a journey of approximately 30 kilometres.
The operation required detailed logistical planning down to the finest detail, given the exceptional size of the blades. Technicians accompanied the transport throughout the entire route, adjusting the vehicle's boom to the characteristics of the road.
The size of the blades attracted the attention of many onlookers along the route, who watched the slow progress of the special transport. The Paul da Serra wind farm is thus closer to becoming operational with the arrival of these nine wind blades.
