Yves Schlirf, Belgian comics editor who played a fundamental role in popularizing Japanese manga in French-speaking countries, has died this Saturday.
Schlirf was responsible for editing some of the biggest publishing successes of the genre, including the series "Naruto" by Masashi Kishimoto, which became a sales phenomenon in the French-speaking market. As an editor, he contributed to bringing Japanese comics to a vast audience in Europe.
