Opening the Sunset Stage lineup at Rock in Rio is always challenging because the audience is still settling into the festival. On this final day of the festival, however, there was a good number of people in front of the space waiting for Carol Biazin. The 28-year-old singer from Paraná took the stage with a pop rock that is often more rock than pop, with R&B textures, almost always revolving around love disillusionment.
Carol Biazin gained visibility when she was a finalist on the sixth season of The Voice on TV Globo in 2017. Although not very mainstream, she has a loyal fan base that sings along to most of her songs, such as "Dilemas da vida moderna," "Low profile," and "Sou do mundo." The artist was well booked on a day of divas at Cidade do Rock.
With approximately 20 minutes of show, Carol called her special guest, 29-year-old Joyce Alane from Pernambuco, to come up on stage with her.
