GD Chaves secured their first victory of the season by beating Feirense in a sixth-round match. Both teams arrived at this encounter without any wins in the league, making the confrontation particularly important for both sides.
The first half was evenly matched, with Feirense creating a big opportunity right in the first minute through João Oliveira, who missed the goal. Chaves responded progressively and finished the first half in a better position, with Wilson Tavares hitting the crossbar and Dru Yearwood forcing the opposing goalkeeper into a difficult save.
In the second half, Chaves maintained the greater initiative and scored in the 61st minute. André Rodrigues combined with Wilson Tavares inside the area and, with his left foot, finished with no chance for the opposing goalkeeper. From then on, Feirense was forced to take more risks, getting close to João Valido's goal several times, but the Flaviense goalkeeper responded safely and was decisive in maintaining the advantage.
With this victory, GD Chaves secured the three points, leaving the bottom of the standings and rising to 16th place.
