An operation by the Battalion of Special Police Operations (BOPE) resulted in the detention of five people and the seizure of a rifle, a pistol, and narcotic material in Taboinha Community, in the Southwest Zone, this Sunday. The action was carried out by the Military Police.
According to the corporation, there was an armed confrontation during the operation. After the shots, the suspects fled into the interior of the community. The police then carried out searches in the region with support from the intelligence sector teams.
During the investigations, five individuals were located. With them, according to the PM, a 9 mm caliber pistol, a 5.56 mm caliber rifle, and narcotic material were seized.
The five detained individuals and all seized material were taken to the 42nd Police Station, where the case was presented.
