The Portuguese women's under-20 football team achieved its first ever victory at World Cup level, thus securing qualification for the round of 16 of the competition.
The match was marked by two goals from Portuguese players. Anna Marques opened the scoring at seven minutes and 58 seconds, while Carolina Tristão found the net at 34 minutes, consolidating the Portuguese team's advantage.
The victory allowed the "quinas" selection to advance to the next phase of the competition, achieving a historic milestone in their Under-20 World Cup trajectory.
