Man is arrested suspected of trying to kill partner by biting in Magé

oglobo13 September 2026 at 17:22

A man was arrested in flagrante delicto this Sunday in Piabetá, district of Magé, in Baixada Fluminense, suspected of trying to kill his partner with several bites to the face. The victim, Tatiane Tadeu dos Santos, suffered serious injuries and received initial treatment at the Piabetá UPA, being later transferred to the Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital, in Duque de Caxias, where she was awaiting surgery.

According to the 66th DP of Piabetá, a team from the 34th BPM was called after the attack, but the suspect had already fled the scene. Civil police officers conducted investigations and identified the man as Paulo Neto Rosa, maintaining searches in the region together with the military police.

Paulo Neto Rosa was located a few hours after the crime and arrested in flagrante delicto for attempted feminicide. The case continues to be investigated by the Civil Police.

Why this matters

The case occurs in Baixada Fluminense, a region that faces high rates of domestic violence. The arrest of the suspect for attempted feminicide highlights the continuity of police efforts against gender crimes, while the severity of the victim's injuries — which required emergency surgery — demonstrates the risks faced by women in abusive relationships.
