The Portuguese Ricardo Batista rose this Sunday to third place in the World Triathlon Series, after finishing fourth in the eighth stage of the competition, which took place in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
Frenchman Dorian Coninx was the winner of this stage, demonstrating superior performance to the rest of the competitors in the race held in the Czech Republic.
With this result, Ricardo Batista consolidated his position among the top three athletes of the World Series, moving up one place from the previous classification.
The Karlovy Vary race was the eighth stage of the competition, being the penultimate before the championship final, which makes this result particularly significant for Batista's aspirations in the overall World Series standings.
